Our walking tour in the old town of Kotor is perfect if you have only a short time while visiting us from a cruise ship. Kotor is medieval town with busy squares and beautiful Renaissance buildings. The well preserved fortified walls protect it from the sea and land. They are considered as one of the world’s historic values.

You will visit the Cathedral of St. Tryphon which was constructed in 1166 and built on the remains of a former temple from the 9th century. Here you will see the remains of frescos from 14th century and the valuable treasury of local and Venetian golden works dating from the 14th to the 20th centuries.

Your tour also includes a visit to the Maritime Museum where you can see a unique collection representing maritime history of the Bay of Kotor. This is the collection of many historical objects, models and paintings of old ships and sailboats, ship parts and old instruments.

After the tour you can walk back to the pier or enjoy free time on your own.

Kotor old town KOTOR WALKING TOUR Kotor, view from San Giovanni

Kotor walking tour starts at the pier and after short introduction about history of Old town we proceed to the main square called Square of Arms. The charm of Kotor’s squares and old family homes of local aristocracy will help you imagine life in golden age of Kotor. Strolling through the narrow streets, we will see Cathedral of St. Tryphon, one of the best preserved monuments from 12th century .

After Kotor we will visit the beautiful baroque town of Perast sitting opposite the entrance to the inner Bay of Kotor.  Here you will have a short walk with guide along the main street. You will have the opportunity to see buildings and villas which were built during the city's prosperous years of the 17th and 18th centuries.

We will board on motor boat to see the Church Island of St George and visit  the Island  Our Lady of the Rocks .  The islet is man-made, and its original church was built in 1452.  You'll see the stunning present church, built in 1632 and enlarged in 1722.  We will visit museum on the island.

Kotor KOTOR AND PERAST TOUR Perast YOUTUBE

Visit the beautiful baroque town of Perast sitting opposite the entrance to the inner Bay of Kotor. Meeting point is at the pier, port of Kotor. After 30 min driving, we will reach Perast. Here you will have a short walk with guide along the main street. You will have the opportunity to see buildings and villas which were built during the city's prosperous years of the 17th and 18th centuries. This fascinating town was home to wealthy sea faring families.

We will board on motor boat to see the Church Island of St George and visit  the Island  Our Lady of the Rocks . This drive lasts only 10 minutes. The islet is man-made, and its original church was built in 1452.  You'll see the stunning present church, built in 1632 and enlarged in 1722. The Island in was created by the seaman from Perast. They have thrown rocks into the sea from boats and also sink old ships in the location where a Picture of the Virgin Mary was found to build the foundation for the church. We will visit the museum on the island.

After your excursion we will return to Kotor.

Kotor PERAST TOUR

After meeting your guide at the pier in Kotor port ,we will drive to Budva which is considered as one of the oldest settlements at the Balkans.

After arrival we will have a short walk with guide to the old town. The old town of Budva lies on a little island that was linked to the land by a sandbar and in time turned into a peninsula. It is surrounded by ramparts originating from the XV century including a medieval fortification system with city gates, defense walls and towers. Inside the walls the town is a combination of narrow streets and little squares with valuable monuments of different Mediterranean cultures that marked its development. Today Budva is a center of Montenegrin tourism and a city of theatre, festivals and celebrations.

After a walking tour in Budva you have free time for coffee or shopping in Old town. Then our tour will continue to St Stefan , famous small fisherman’s village,  hotel . You will have a short photo stop on the viewpoint above this area.

On our back drive to Kotor we will go across Trojica , stop on viewpoint to take a photos of Bay of Kotor and your cruise ship.

Kotor BUDVA AND ISLAND ST NIKOLA TOUR Perast

Discover the magnificent coastal churches, villages and vistas of Bay of Kotor and Bay of Tivat during this scenic tour and cruise.


Depart the pier by speed boat for a short drive to Perast, a peaceful and quiet Baroque town where you'll have a short walking tour, seeing its beautiful 17th- and 18th-century buildings and numerous monuments.

Next, you'll continue by boat toward Gospa od Skrpjela, to visit Our Lady of the Rocks Church, a Baroque-style church situated on one of two islets in the Bay of Kotor, across from Perast. Built in 1632, you'll see its 68 magnificent paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a famous 17th-century Baroque artist from Perast. His most important painting, The Death of the Virgin, is nearly 33 feet long.


A highlight of your tour will be stop near island St Marko in Tivat Bay for swimming and snorkelling. We will pass near Porto Montenegro , a new marina for mega yachts.

Kotor SPEED BOAT CRUISING KOTOR AND TIVAT BAY Perast

Join us on this kayaking adventure of scenic Kotor Bay, as you discover its magnificent coastal churches, villages and vistas. Starting point is from the beach, five minutes’ walk from the pier. After 5 minutes safety introduction our adventure will start. Bay of Kotor is sheltered location which provides gentle sea conditions and more relaxed kayaking experience.


You will be paddling approximately 6 kilometers / 4 miles and throughout the tour you will have an opportunity to swim, snorkel and simply enjoy the great landscapes of the surrounding mountains.

No previous kayaking experience is necessary


What to Bring

Bring a bottle of drinking water, sun protection (sunscreen hat, sunglasses) a towel and camera. Wear a swimming suit with clothes over. Adventure Montenegro supplies all of your kayak and snorkelling gear, including dry barrel for your personal items (wallet, camera, clothes, towel, and phone), which stay dry stored in your kayak bulkhead compartments while you are kayaking.

Kotor KAYAKING IN THE BAY OF KOTOR Perast

Starting from the Kotor we will take one of the oldest  roads and drive you along the  breathtaking route up along the steep slopes to the mountain Lovcen . The Lovcen National Park is an area of powerful contrasts, on one side tower the rugged snowcapped summits, while opposite them you will find the quite tranquility of one of the most beautiful bays in the world, The Bay of Kotor. Then we take an easy hike up to Jezerski Vrh , on  1657 meters  above sea level. From that point you can see half of Montenegro, Adriatic Sea ,  Skadar lake and mountain peaks in  the north of the state. There is a mausoleum on the Jezerski Vrh of Petar Petrovic Njegos , famous Montenegrian ruler and poet from 19th century.  There we will have a break for taking photos and enjoy the sight. Then we will reach  Ivanova Korita, part of National Park  (1657 m), situated on the eastern slope of Jezerski Vrh, in a valley covered with forests and meadows. This is a well-known vacation resort for children, which is open even during the winter. After break, we will drive down to the city and finish our hiking tour at the Kotor gate.
